Don’t miss this intimate evening house concert at Hot Shop Glass Studio and Gallery and experience the dazzling magic of guitarist Muriel Anderson! Join us as she brings you on a virtual tour around the world with her music and stories.
As one of the country’s foremost fingerstyle guitarists, Muriel Anderson’s obvious joy of music, humor and her comfort across genres of folk, classical, bluegrass, popular and international music are revered by guitarists worldwide. The first woman to win the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship, Muriel Anderson has composed music since the age of four, writing instrumentals, vocals, choral and orchestral compositions. Equally at home on both guitar and harp guitar, Muriel’s recent cd, “Nightlight, Daylight,” was chosen as one of the top 10 CDs of the decade by Guitar Player Magazine. In addition to producing Muriel Anderson’s All-Star Guitar Night for the past 20 years, Muriel is also the founder of the charity, Music for Life Alliance, to help get musical instruments and lessons into student hands. Her mentors include Chet Atkins and Christopher Parkening.
Muriel’s concert will be held in the historic Hot Shop Glass Studio and Gallery located at 239 Wisconsin Avenue, Racine, Wisconsin 53403. Parking available in the Shoop Parking Ramp.
