12th Annual Morton Arboretum Glass Pumpkin Patch

12th Annual Morton Arboretum Glass Pumpkin Patch

We are honored to be part of an amazing team of glass artists from around the country partnering with the incredible staff of the Morton Arboretum for this unbelievable event.  Held annually on the beautiful grounds of the Morton Arboretum, south west of Chicago…just 1.5 hours from our studio in Racine.  More than 6,000 glass pumpkins grace the display with all 17 artists on site as ‘artists in residence’ for the duration of the event.  It is a wonderful time to meet & engage with glass artists, shop and enjoy the beautiful fall landscape of the Morton Arboretum.  It really is magical.  And the proceeds support the research and operations of the Morton and the artists who create the stunning work specifically for the event.

  • The Glass Pumpkin Exhibition: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 12 through 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 14.
  • The Glass Pumpkin Sale: 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, through 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 16.
  • Glass blowing demonstrations: noon to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12 through Friday, October 14; all day, both Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16.

Guests are invited to stop by and watch daily demonstrations by featured glassblower, Shannon Jane Morgan, along with many other artists, as they dramatically turn bits of glass into stunning molten pumpkin masterpieces (see times above). Narrators will take them step-by-step through the process as these talented artists demonstrate this ancient art form, explaining the processes and tools used to create these stunning autumnal beauties.
